For this kitchen remodel, the client wanted to expand their existing small galley-style kitchen and open it up into their living space. We designed a plan which removed this existing wall and with the additional space, the homeowners have more cabinetry for storage and countertops for prep and cooking. This design features a generous 10’ quartz peninsula island with a waterfall edge. The homeowners now have ample seating at their island for hosting family and friends. We selected two tones of cabinetry: stained maple wood and painted white doors and drawers. A custom hood was built to look like the surrounding wall cabinets with a range hood insert. All new trim and millwork was updated. The refrigerator was moved from its current location to allow for a better work triangle and all other appliances were updated with newer models. The backsplash features a high-gloss square tile installed up to the ceiling surrounded by wood floating shelves. Hardware and plumbing was selected in a brushed nickel finish.
