Kayla Sass is a current student who started at Iowa State and is finishing her last year at DMACC’s Interior Design Program, graduating in the upcoming spring.
Kayla has always been passionate about all things design, specifically interior. She desires to make others feel at home and get the dream look they have always wanted. She wants to carry on the comfortable feeling of home along with the expression of your personal taste that she believes is important in making it your own. Her passion started with re-arranging things in the home she grew up in and learning her design eye from her mom; Kayla is more than happy to have turned that into a real-life experience helping along the entire process from beginning to end.
Kayla is determined to help give clients exactly what they are looking for, and ecstatic to work alongside and learn from Jen.

Let's create the home of your dreams.
Every full-service project begins with a site visit. We start with a tour of the major priority areas of your home to be updated and discuss the needs and goals for each room. We will then take any photographs or measurements needed to begin your design!
This is the visionary stage of the project where we design your project, including renderings, floor plans, and elevations, and make the selections that will bring your design together. This period can take 6-8 weeks on a small project and 12+ weeks if we are working on multiple rooms or a whole house. We will keep you informed of our progress and let you know if there’s anything we need from you.
This is the day where we present your complete design plan. This may include an initial conceptual presentation and a secondary, in-person presentation to include materials, memos, paint colors and anything else that your project needs. All decision makers must be present at all presentation meetings.
Once you’ve had time to review your design, we schedule a meeting with you by phone or in person to receive your feedback on the presentation(s). Also, we will finalize the drawings and any specifications for your contractor/builder at this time.
We are ordering all approved items for your installation. All of our vendors and suppliers are working hard to complete your design plan. We contract with a local warehouse to receive your items as they arrive. Each piece is inspected and assembled (if needed) and stored until installation day.
We will schedule site visits to ensure the design plan is being followed and to consult with any skilled trades working on your project. We will coordinate all the furniture, decor, and window treatment installation.
After you’ve had a chance to live in your space for a few days, we may do a final walk through. During that meeting we will create a punch list of any items that need to be taken care of. We will handle everything for you as quickly as possible as we can’t wait for you to enjoy your beautiful home for years to come!
